A word chain transforms one word into another by changing one letter at a time. Each step must be a valid Scrabble word. For example: COLD → CORD → WORD → WARM.
It validates each word against our Scrabble dictionary API, then uses breadth-first search to find the shortest chain. Each step changes exactly one letter. Works best with 3-6 letter words.
